The new era of live streaming is SIDEKIK! Not only does it safeguard your recording of the incident with live stream and cloud storage, but for about $5 per month you have access to an attorney to represent you on the spot. This attorney will actually speak with to the law enforcement officer immediately on your behalf at the time of the incident. There is no extra fee for the attorney to represent you later should the detainment lead to a false arrest, abuse, or otherwise. Video
"Who will govern the governors? There is only one force in the nation that can be depended upon to keep the government pure and the governors honest, and that is the people themselves. They alone, if well informed, are capable of preventing the corruption of power, and of restoring the nation to its rightful course if it should go astray. They alone are the safest depository of the ultimate powers of government."
Our right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures, our right to a fair trial, and our presumed innocence has been trumped by these professional liars who are given undeserved credibility and unwarranted integrity. There are unconstitutional regulations limiting open carry rights for private citizens. Since these lying, trigger-happy, murderous "safety police" don't have to comply with the same regs, and in addition, granted immunity, the camera is your new weapon. It is the great equalizer in holding them accountable and broadcasting their undeserved powers and the inequities of our system. If we record for each other, we could save an innocent citizen from injustice. You have the right to record anything in public – including, and especially public servants. They have no consequences for committing the worst crimes, murders of innocent, unarmed civilians, even when they shoot them multiple times in the back. The chief of police, internal affairs, local court judges and commissioners, prosecutors, and the mayor are all in cahoots. The police have unions which is absolute BULL. They cover for them and they get away with it. It is always important to record police encounters to protect the truth for anyone to see.

"Tyranny is defined as that which is legal for the government, but illegal for the citizenry."
Become an active participant in our mission to effect change by recording the police and join or organize a Cop Watch Community in your neighborhood. The best way to effect change is to lead by example. There are tons of videos of "outspoken" cop watchers, Tom Zebra for instance. Use this as a level of comfort that you can observe and document, protected by the First Amendment of the Constitution. It is not only out right, but our duty to hold these public servants accountable and start doing our part to regain control of OUR government. Read More
With Liberty To Monitor All
With liberty to monitor all. A little noticed surveillance technology, designed to track the movements of every passing driver, is fast proliferating on America’s streets. Automatic license plate readers are mounted on police cars or on objects like road signs and bridges, use small, high-speed cameras to photograph over 3 million plates per week in Los Angeles county alone. An ACLU report, based on thousands of pages of documents received in response to nationwide public records requests, reveals how your movements are being tracked. More information available within links below.
Stop believing that your vote doesn't count or that you are just one person so how can you really make a difference. If you are physically disabled, on house arrest, in a wheelchair, have no transportation, or whatever your "crutch" may be, there is a way you can help. Whether it's from your desk, couch, or taking it to the streets, you can become an active participant in the community. Everyone can contribute by being a voice through online petitioning or conducting research, organizing protests, liaise meetings, coordinate schedules, raise awareness or raise funds, over the phone or through email to cover Cop Watch expenses. Although it may seem minimal, supplies like paper for flyers, contact cards, coffee at training meetings, radios, extra media cards for cameras, etc. can add up. You could organize Cop Watch paperwork (rosters, email lists) for Cop Watch Community groups, write stories or edit videos from the data received from the field, create and maintain social media pages and or a website for your group, or a few groups. Consider being a part of the Fatal Encounters Project compiling information for a database on every police involved death since 2000. There is little excuse not to aid in this War on Corruption. It must stop now. Read more
Police are responsible for the death of 5000+ civilians since 9/11. That's over one person per day. Why doesn't the news report on this? Our government, without consent and against the constitution, records our phone calls, stores our emails and text messages, scans our license plates, our faces, and is countlessly intrusive in our lives. How is it that a government that keeps records, runs statistics, and has databases galore, does not keep a record of police involved murders of the People? Why isn't there a public records database to disclose this information? Simple. The government doesn't want the People to know. HelpFatal Encounters create this record to expose the corrupt cover up.
The Freedom of Information Act One of Our Least Respected Laws. When Barack Obama was first inaugurated, he promised that his administration would “usher in an era of open government.” Instead, requests for documents under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) are increasingly being challenged or ignored by federal agencies. It is our duty to keep on them and demand our right to information and expose those who stifle the process with the run around. Send requests until you get what you are asking for. They are trying to exhaust us so we give up. Don't let them defeat you. You are entitled to it. This government is of, by, and for the People. You pay for these employees to provide you this service. Would you allow this from your hired assistant?
It is our responsibility to know our rights and exercise them in order to preserve our freedom. Rights not exercised are rights we don't have, and consequently welcome a police state. You may exercise your Fifth Amendment right by stating, "I don't answer questions" anytime you are stopped or questioned by the police. Invoke your right to have your attorney present and state clearly you do not consent to any searches or seizures. Print and keep these cards with you to invoke your rights when approached by police without feeling anxious or pressured. You are only required to provide driver license, registration, and insurance if you are pulled over WITH probable cause while operating a motor vehicle. You may also use these cards in these instances to invoke your rights.more
There are four general types of checkpoints and they are not all created equally. Learn what your rights are and how to respond to law enforcement officers in various checkpoints encounters. Although they violate our right to travel from state to state unmolested, therefore unconstitutional, you are required to stop. Police can briefly detain you and ask whatever they want. Nonetheless, your constitutional rights still apply. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ANSWER. YOU SHOULD CONTEST ALL UNLAWFUL REQUESTS. Read more
If you are ever approached by the police, the first question you ask is, "Am I being detained"? If you are not being detained you do not need to talk to them so walk away. What you say can and will be used against you. They have one motive and that is extortion. They harass and intimidate you into incriminating yourself by asking questions that are none of their business.
Do yourself a favor and keep your mouth shut. Police do not even know the law, they lie to us, and make up "rules" as they become appropriate to a situation to succeed in violating your rights, then get confrontational if you don't comply with their unlawful orders. The catalysts to this government takeover and expectation to obey law enforcement's every wordare due to the lack of knowledge of the People and failure to exercise rights and privileges. Rights not exercised, are rights we don't have. It is our responsibility to know our rights and refuse unlawful orders, and know the difference. Police can ask you anything. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ANSWER! Read more
"The second biggest thing I learned is that bad journalism colludes with police to hide this information. The primary reason for this is that police will cut off information to reporters who tell tales. And a reporter can't work if he or she can't talk to sources." --Source Gawker.com
"I've been lied to and delayed by state, county and local law enforcement agencies — almost every time. They've blatantly broken public records laws, and then thumbed their authoritarian noses at the temerity of a citizen asking for information that might embarrass the agency. And these are the people in charge of enforcing the law."
